Launching a Sustainable Business

In my efforts to create a viable business which reflects who I am as an artist and what my values are as a human, I have created a sustainable business which hopefully brings my art and artisan goods to a wide and interested clientele, raise awareness through my artwork and business for a multitude of social purposes, to be conscious about over producing items and also to raise money for non-profits which support women world wide. I also hope to shed light on being more conscious about the clothing industry and how it affects our worlds environment. I have learned more about it and hope to become a successful business which supports these values.

Sustainability is defined as, “…the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level,” to not adversely affect life for our future generations or in other words to carefully keep the balance between the environment, social equity and the economy. Avidly pursuing sustainability is to create and maintain the conditions under which humans and nature can co-exist in harmony to support present and future generations.

In regards to developing a sustainable business; the reach for inclusion of the conscious awareness of the specific and vital roles we play in sustainability is pivotal in redeveloping the business model which seeks to just increase its capitol and skips the awareness of how that business’s procedures may adversely affect both society and that of the environment. That is an unworthy and outdated practice which is increasingly becoming a thing of the past as there are millions of sustainable businesses around the world employing proper sustainable practices. Human beings are completely able to become consciously responsible and caring contributors to the well being of the planet and to each other.

I know this idea may surprise a few skeptical readers, I understand, but I am a believer of miracles and in fact I quite believe there are many more good, smart, kind and intelligent people all over this amazing world who want and strive to make the world a better place. I think that because I am one of those people. I stand on intelligence, good-ness and I am fairly spiritual in general. I am a pillar if you will, an anchor of love and light. And as the boss of a newly launched socially conscious and sustainable art business, I am committed to pursuing attainable and sustainable methods and practices in my own endeavors and be a model and teacher to others who are also pursing dreams and businesses.
