Greetings fellow sketchbook/ journal enthusiasts,
Art can be subjective, personal, expressionist and often times intimate, certainly therapeutic and offers so much simple fulfillment and joy. I am a believer in getting in touch with your creative side as it offers such a bridge into a deeper understanding of yourself and brings a sense of meditation in its practice.

Sharing images from my sketchbook/ journal makes me feel somewhat vulnerable as sometimes they are so personal, but it also offers an opportunity to open the door to my process as an artist.

I often use my sketchbook as a place of practice, catalogs of images and stencils that I create and use in my journal. It is a place for sketching, creative expression, journal writing, poetry and ideas which I hope to expand into larger paintings or into my textile pieces. Sometimes they become interchangeable, but as a busy art producing artist I have to attempt to organize my ideas and expressions of myself - somehow!

As this one of my first blog posts, I am super excited to begin the process of sharing my artist journey and all of the techniques I have acquired and practice in my studio.
