My first Art Pop-up & Exhibition
In Her Temple - My first art pop-up and birthday exhibition: A recap!
It was such a great experience! It was busy and challenging and as much as I thought I planned there were a few unexpected surprises, including a birthday rainbow! So funny thing about an art show, but man taking good photos of the art is essential! As I am new to setting up and arranging my own show, I learned a lot.
Check out my handmade slideshow below!
Sharing a few things I learned and a few things I loved.
I definitely learned the meaning of the phrases “go-for-it” and “go-with-the-flow.”
I learned that even as you might plan for everything, unexpected issues may arise like even if you have an idea of where to hang things, the how to hang paintings from extremely high ceiling/ concrete walls can throw a few curve balls in terms of re-location of images and the amount of time that may be involved.
Another key sort-of surprise issue was learning how warehouse lighting affects the images, especially those that are framed in glass, so taking clear photos of the art was basically a bit impossible!
I loved that the event happened on my birthday, as a little to-me present where I was given the opportunity to share a selection of my art and have a fun art-filled evening with a wonderful group of art lovers and friends!
I am grateful for and appreciate all of the lovely ladies who attended, purchased some of my art, handmade by me artisan goodies and helped me to celebrate my birthday!
I am so very grateful to my own Prince Charming (my son Elijah) who helped my carry everything, set-up all the art with me and be such an encouraging support to me!
